Lundgren Management has continued its involvement with the new Castaic high school project as it enters the construction phase.
Since last fall, Lundgren has been assisting the William S. Hart Union High School District with oversight of the site development phase on the project, and has been chosen by the district to continue as the construction manager. The school is expected to open to students by 2019. The plan is for the project to be delivered utilizing the lease-leaseback method.
“This high school has spent more than a decade in development, so it’s very exciting to be part of bringing these plans to fruition,” company president Dale Lundgren said. “Once complete this is really going to be a fantastic school site to serve the community.”
The school is being designed by architecture firm Ruhnau Ruhnau Clark, and when completed it will cover roughly 250,000 square-feet and include new classroom buildings, a library, performing arts building, administrative building, and athletic courts and fields.
