Embracing Technology for Success
Lundgren continues to embrace new technology to streamline workflow and enhance our close working relationships with clients and contractors.
The state-of-the-art technology we’ve implemented into our work improves the construction process and eliminates waste. What continues to set us apart is that we emphasize strong personal relationships with each client, engaging them throughout the process so that their goals are met.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become a standard element in design, helping us create detailed project records to identify and also resolve problems and create a reference database for future maintenance use.
Bluebeam software has a very positive impact on our projects. Generating PDF files, Bluebeam allows project assessors to upload photos and data directly from their tablets, creating constantly updated, detailed project plans which show Owners any deficiencies or issues to be addressed.
For instance, Bluebeam helped us identify and demonstrate to District officials roughly a half-million dollars in essential upgrades, maintenance and modernization work on a recent Middle School project. Bluebeam allows Lundgren to go paperless, eliminating the waste that can invariably come with multiple project documents.
Lundgren also uses software for complete photo documentation of projects.
Most recently, at the new David G. Millen Intermediate School project in Palmdale, Lundgren utilized Multivista’s software which offers multiple camera angles to allow for constant progress updates, providing the client visual insight into the project’s progression. Site photos also were indexed to the project’s architectural plans, creating a detailed record of the project for maintenance and reference.
Incorporating new technology is one of the many ways in which Lundgren continues to be an industry leader, and it also gives our clients a fuller understanding of the work we do and more peace of mind that their projects are in the hands of experts.
